Bachelor of Architecture – Auburn University
Ken spent ten years after architecture school cultivating his passion for residential design under the tutelage of his mentor and friend, Bobby McAlpine, before eventually relocating to Charlotte, where Pursley Architecture was established in 2005. Fellow Auburn alumnus Craig Dixon was named partner in 2012 and the firm became Pursley Dixon Architecture. Ken is inspired by the simple axiom that beauty matters, and designs projects that reflect that belief. Eschewing stylistic polarization, Ken views both modernism and classicism as part of the broader language of architecture. When he’s not working or traveling, you may find Ken chipping away at the ongoing renovations to his midcentury modern house in Charlotte.
