RESTRAINED REDU

The design goal for this project was to create a sophisticated, serene empty nest, without the heavy English and French antiques that graced the couple’s previous home.  New furnishings were selected with careful consideration of scale and to complement their art collection.  Self-described as ‘serial home buyers’, the homeowner desired pieces that would work in the current space but be adaptable to be re-purposed in a future home.  Meaningful vintage and antique pieces were reupholstered or re-painted to feel more modern in this new environment.
